Israel face France in a Nations League match in Paris on Thursday that will be surrounded by a huge security operation following attacks on Israeli football fans in Amsterdam last week.

Thousands of police have been deployed and security measures have been ratcheted up in Paris ahead of an international soccer match between France and Israel Thursday. The match comes a week after Israeli fans were targeted after a club match in Amsterdam in what officials say were antisemitic attacks.

A brief altercation broke out at the match between France and Israel in the Stade de France in Paris on Thursday evening. Local media said around 50 people were involved in the clash, which took place among fans inside a top section of the stadium during the first half of the Nations League match.
