When Crofton field hockey shut out Broadneck in the Class 4A state semifinals last fall, all agreed that was the true championship game. Little did they know that not only would they get their dream matchup one year later, they’d finish with the same score.

It's the third time in a row they've beaten the Minutemen in the A-10 title game. Now, they'll await their NCAA Tournament matchup.

Ahead of Saturday’s Maryland Class 3A field hockey championship game, Severna Park’s players sat together in the locker room and went around in a circle, stating something positive they would achieve that game.
