Danny Houghton's final appearance for Hull FC ended in defeat as Catalans Dragons rounded off the Betfred Super League regular season with a comfortable 24-4 win at the MKM Stadium.

There are still plenty of players in Super League whose futures remain uncertain with their contracts due to expire come the end of the year. With over 60 players set to be available come the end of the season at our last count,

London were thrashed 54-0 by Sam Burgess' Wolves, a win that saw Hull move up to eleventh without even playing. Heading into the final round, the Black and Whites were bottom as they had an inferior points difference of one point compared to the Broncos, but their defeat to Warrington has seen them go back above them.

Steve McNamara has named his travelling party for the trip to Hull and they make two changes. Tom Johnstone and Guillermo Aispuro-Biche both come into the 21-man squad in place of Jordan Abdull and the suspended Arthur Romano.

Despite a fairly promising start under Ian Watson and a couple of notable victories – winning away at Catalans in the Challenge Cup, for one – the writing felt on the wall for Watson as summer approached and he was ultimately sacked in mid-July by the club.
