Several flights to and from Bali have been cancelled after the Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano began spewing ash as high as 9km in the sky.

Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki volcano on the remote island of Flores in East Nusa Tenggara province spewed towering columns of hot ash high into the air since its initial huge eruption on Nov. 4, killed nine people and injured dozens of others.

Several international airlines have resumed flights to and from Indonesia's resort island of Bali, an official said on Thursday, after multiple eruptions of the Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki volcano belched ash up to 10 km (16 miles) into the air.
